Ghost Tours of Kansas, Peaceful Whispers, and Kansas Paranormal Research Society (KPRS), announced that they would be holding their Spirits for the Spirited Paranatural Conference in Topeka at the Moose Lodge again this spring. On Saturday, April 6, 2013, the doors will open at 8:00 a.m. to the public and the guest speakers will begin at 9:00 a.m.
The conference will have a variety of speakers offering seminars on numerous topics. There will be a gallery style channeling session with a well-known local psychic, a zombie makeover with a local special effects make-up artist, and a lecture on demonology. Cathy Ramirez, a local author and the owner of Ghost Tours of Kansas, will also be sharing information about her latest book, “Where’s the Ghost? The Trials and Tribulations of Ghost Hunting!”
“One highlight of this years conference is the numerous hands-on learning opportunities that are going to be offered throughout the day for paranormal and metaphysical enthusiasts,” says Brenda Mason, founder of KPRS.
The conference will include basic paranormal investigating techniques such as how to use equipment, collecting and reviewing evidence, camera use, and orbs. Other sessions throughout the day include a chakra-balancing lecture, dowsing rod training, and a basic women’s self-defense demonstration.
Another highlight of the conference is the vast array of local area vendors that will be on hand offering their products and services. Some of the products that will be available include incense, stones, chakra-balancing kits, books, dowsing rods, essential oil blends, spell kits, smudge kits, art and jewelry. Some of the services include Tarot reading, chair massage, Reiki, and photography.
To top off the experience KPRS will be conducting a public paranormal investigation of the Moose Lodge starting with equipment set up at 10 p.m. and going until 1:30 am that night. The Moose Lodge was listed as one of the top five most haunted locations in 2012.
