A nefarious pirate gets his hands on a magic book, that allows any evil plan he writes in its' pages to come true, but in order for him to harness its' true power, he must get his hands on the missing final page. That page rests at the bottom of the sea in Bikini Bottom, and it is revealed to be the Krabby Patty secret formula, which is locked away in Mr. Krabs' safe in The Krusty Krab. In order to get the page back and save their world, SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Mr. Krabs, and Sandy must go where no undersea dweller has gone before, to the surface world.

The new “SpongeBob” movie will feature a mixture of traditional animation, as well as a combination of live-action and 3D animation. Tom Kenny will reprise his classic role and plays the role of the iconic yellow sponge, SpongeBob SquarePants, as he and his friends come ashore to retrieve the stolen page from the evil pirate, and in the process, become larger-than-life superheroes, with SpongeBob as The Invincibubble, Patrick as Mr. Superawesomeness, Squidward as Sour Note, and Mr. Krabs as Sir Pinch-A-Lot.

The first SpongeBob movie, “The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie,” grossed over $140 million worldwide and was nominated for a People’s Choice Award for “Favorite Animated Movie” in 2005. The movie featured cameos by actors Alec Baldwin, Scarlett Johansson and a live action appearance by “Baywatch” star David Hasselhoff.

“The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water” is set to hit theaters on February 6, 2015 and will also be viewable in super absorbent 3D.
