The Paradise City Arts Festival in Marlboro, MA opens on November 18 and runs through November 20. This is one of metro Boston’s top arts and crafts shows and has been called “The Jewel of Craft Shows.”

The Paradise City Arts Festival features both fine and functional art from 175 American craft designers and artists. Located just 30 minutes from downtown Boston, this is an excellent Boston day trip, for both browsing and shopping.

The festival includes emerging to established artists” with new cutting edge designs and thousands of art works," according to festival organizers.

Visitors can meet the artists, and hear their stories. Artists of all kids will show a variety of art work from furniture, lighting, floor coverings, landscape-scale sculpture, wall tapestries, blown glass, wearable art, ceramic dinnerware, playful and elegant jewelry and remarkable paintings.

There will be items in every price range, for the holiday shopper and the collector alike.

All of the art featured at the Paradise City Arts Festival in Marlboro has been created by American craftspeople and artists.

“Paradise City epitomizes the grassroots movement of “making it here”. Whether you buy a $20 coffee mug, a $50 silk scarf or a $10,000 set of dining room furniture" art consumers will be supporting the creative arts locally and across America.

"Picturing the Music" is a special exhibit at the 2011 Paradise City Arts festival in Marlboro, MA

“Picturing the Music”, is a themed exhibition of art related to" rhythm, lyrics and melody". The inspiration for this special exhibit is the work of visual artists who have” been painting, forging, glassblowing and weaving to music throughout history,” according to press materials from the Paradise City Arts Festival.

Guests can also visit the Sculpture Café, the setting for live Gypsy jazz, swing and classic jazz. Food is also available and includes sample bite-size cheesecakes, brownies, lemon squares and gourmet coffee as well as lunch.

easy drive from anywhere in the Metro Boston
