Parades & Pints: St. Patrick's Day in CT

March in Connecticut brings the first signs of spring and a hint of green, in the form of St. Patrick's Day. There are plenty of ways to celebrate Irish-American heritage and culture in Connecticut, from parades to live music, Irish dance and a tall pint of Guinness. Here are just a few of the festivities planned for this year's holiday, which falls on Wednesday, March 17, 2010.

Parades:

Greater Hartford St. Patrick's Day Parade: Sunday, March 13 at 11 a.m. at the Connecticut State Capitol

New Haven St. Patrick's Day Parade: Sunday, March 14 at 1 p.m.

Danbury St. Patrick's Day Parade: Sunday, March 14 at 2 p.m. from Kennedy Street off North Main.

Mystic Irish Parade: Sunday, March 21 at 1 p.m. at the South parking lot of Mystic Seaport.

Greenwich St. Patrick's Day Parade: Sunday, March 21 from Greenwich Town Hall (time TBA).
