Alex B is moving in a new musical direction as Paper Diamond. Today, Paper Diamond releases its first LP Levitate via Pretty Lights Music and Elm and Oak. The album will be made available as a free download at 2 p.m. MST on the Pretty Lights’ website.
Even though the album hasn’t even been released yet, Paper Diamond announced yesterday on Twitter that he is already preparing more material. “Back in the studio~ New EP comes out tomorrow but i'm just gonna keep working on new music” - @AlexBeats 1.24.2011
In 2010, Alex B released his long awaited first full length album, Moments. The record lived up to the hype with a blended hip/electro-hop sound that could be heard on the club dance floor or enjoyed solo with a pair of headphones. Alex B spent the past year extensively touring and collaborating with other artists such as Big Gigantic.
The prolific music engineer has released several tracks between Moments and Levitate including a 50 minute mix titled “Brain Food.” You can find all of Alex B’s music available for download here.
