Get ready, Houston Texans fan.
J.J. Watt may soon be delivering a Papa John's pizza to your doorsteps.
Watt, who delivered pizzas in college, teamed up with Papa John's in an attempt to engage with local fans for the upcoming 2014 season.
“Every single Tuesday there will be a winner and they’ll get a phone call from me,” Watt told the Houston Texans official website. “At some point—I’m a little busy during the season—but at some point you’re gonna have a pizza delivered by me. A little personal pizza party, and it’s pretty cool to interact with the fans that way.”
According to the Texans website, each winner – along with nine of their family members or friends – will receive an opportunity to enjoy a slice of Papa John's pizza with the All-Pro defensive end.
In addition, Papa John's will be unveiling Watt-themed boxes for the deliveries.
Ten-percent of all Tuesday sales from 70 local Papa John's locations will be donated to the J.J. Watt Foundation, an organization that provides children with a chance to participate in after-school athletics.
“The best part about this is that it’s for a great cause,” Watt said. “It’s for kids and we’re gonna raise a whole lot of money for kids. We’re talking a few hundred thousand dollars hopefully. If you order a pizza on Tuesday during the season, you’re gonna be changing a child’s life which is really special.”
