Yesterday, Deadline Hollywood reported that actor Michael Chiklis' comic books Pantheon is being adapted for TV. The 5-issue comic book series was released back in 2010. It looks like IDW Entertainment, the new TV arm of IDW Publishing, thinks that the series is worth exploring further and has chosen to adapt the series as a live-action television series. Circle of Confusion, one of the the companies behind the successful comic-to-TV adaptation The Walking Dead, will be co-producing the series alongside IDW Entertainment.

The 5-issue comic book series was created by Michael Chiklis, Anny Simon Beck and Marc Andreyko. The series revolve around an apocalyptic future and ancient Greek gods battling for the future of mankind. The Emmy-winning Michael Chiklis is attached to star in the series. This will not be Michael Chiklis' first foray into comic book adaptation, having played Thing in two Fantastic Four films.
