The Tilefish Advisory Panel of the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council has scheduled a public web meeting for Tuesday, Feb. 4. The council announced the meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 15. The meeting takes place from 9 am until noon Eastern Standard Time.

The public can listen in by web or by telephone only. For registration details, see http://www.mafmc.org/council-events/201424tilefish-advisory-panel-webinar.

Only one topic is on the docket for the meeting: creation of a fishery performance report by the council's Golden Tilefish Advisory Panel. The council explains that the “intent of this report is to facilitate a venue for structured input from the Advisory Panel members for the Golden Tilefish specifications process, including recommendations by the council and its Scientific and Statistical Committee.”

While the panel may discuss other issues, it will not take formal action on any other matter unless emergency action is needed. If so, the council will inform the public ahead of time.

For questions, contact Executive Director Christopher Moore at the council, 800 N. State St., Suite 201, Dover, DE 19901, (302) 526-5255.
