Please note: La MICA understand that the 7thWorld Congress of Herpetology is meeting in 2012. Some have suggested that we hold this meeting as a symposium at that meeting. However, we would like for Panamanians to attend the Snake Working Group meeting. Because of restrictions with VISAs (cost and difficulty of acquisition) and travel (cost), it would be impossible for most Panamanians to attend World Congress. People from the US, Canada, and most European countries can travel to Panama without a VISA and can remain in Panama for up to 6 months on just a tourist card. Flights currently are ~$500 roundtrip Washington DC to Panama City. It is our goal to keep our meeting affordable for all who wish to attend.
