This medium bodied, dark mahogany brown colored spirit is a blend of 4 to 6 year old aged rums. Aromas of toffee, buttery caramel, roasted nuts and molasses are followed by hints of vanilla, bourbon and spice. The taste of warm molasses, toasted oak and creamy sweetness lead to a very smooth, long warm finish.
Pampero was created in 1938 by Alejandro Hernández. It was the first Venezuelan aged rum produced by the Complejo Industrial Licorero del Centro, C.A.
In addition to other accolades, at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, Pampero Aniversario won Best Rum in 2007 and Double Gold in the aged rum category in 2009.
Pampero also produces Pampero Blanco white rum, Pampero Oro gold rum, Pampero Añejo Especial dark rum and Pampero Selección 1938.
The brand is owned and marketed by Diageo, the largest multinational beer, wine and spirits company in the world.
