Pampered Chef recall: Faulty garlic slicer could cut finger

The Pampered Chef has issued a voluntary recall of its garlic slicers after reports that the blade can become dislodged, potentially injuring consumers. Twenty-three complaints, including one report of a cut finger, prompted the home party company to take action.

If you purchased a garlic slicer at a friend’s Pampered Chef party or through an independent consultant between January of 2009 and July of 2011, you could be at risk.

The garlic slicers in question were sold individually for around $14 with product number 1113 and for $20 in a set that included a garlic peeler, under product number 2578. The recalled garlic slicer is a white, two-piece cylinder with “The Pampered Chef” engraved on the top.

If you believe you may have the garlic slicer that is subject to this recall, contact The Pampered Chef at 1-877-917-2433 (toll free) between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. Central Time Monday through Friday or between 8:30 and 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
