According to People on Nov. 4, 2013, if Pamela Anderson has one word to describe the day after a marathon would be ‘ouch’. She posted a picture to twitter that showed her being iced all over her body from head to toe. She had a paper over her face, comfortably in her bed, with her arms and legs looking limp and appeared to be totally exhausted.
Who wouldn’t be tired, after all she ran over 26 miles. She did amazing, however; finishing the long journey of 26.2 miles in less than six hours. She was reported to have jogged part of the race and walked part of the route. After completing a race like this, she will need plenty of rest to feel rested again. After all, a marathon is designed to push you further than you ever though you could be pushed. Experts claim that it takes as long as three weeks to recover from running a marathon.
She reported to of raised nearly $76,000 to be given to the Haiti relief fund. She ran the race with her brother, Gerry. She should be proud of her accomplishment, her time, and most of all her good heart for giving her time to help benefit those affected by the Haitian hurricane. Her financial contribution will help build or feed those in need.
Rest up Pamela, we are proud of you!
