Pam Dawber, who has been married to “NCIS” star Mark Harmon for 26 years and who gained fame as Mindy McConnell in “Mork & Mindy,” will reunite with Mork. In a Pam Dawber and Robin Williams reunion, both “Mork & Mindy” stars will appear in a “The Crazy Ones” episode scheduled to air this spring, reports MSN Entertainment on Jan. 23, 2014.
“Dawber will play Lily, an author of travel memoirs who catches the eye of Williams' ad agency exec, Simon. The two meet at a signing for her latest book, 'Ninety Countries, 90 Dances!' Instantly smitten, Simon falls for this adventurous free spirit who seems up for anything.”
Pam Dawber playing a character “who seems up for anything” has many “Mork & Mindy” fans think of Mindy who was the human friend and roommate to Mork, played by Robin Williams, who came to Earth from the planet Ork in a small, one-man egg-shaped spaceship. "Mork calling Orson, come in Orson!" would be Mork's usual contact with his home planet Ork.
As Mindy's roommate, Mork's greeting, "Na-Nu Na-Nu" and his hand gesture -- similar to Mr. Spock's Vulcan salute from Star Trek combined with a handshake -- became a popular catchphrase of the American sitcom that was broadcast on ABC from 1978 until 1982.
Pam Dawber could recently be seen in the audience of “The Tonight Show” when she was accompanying her husband, "NCIS" star Mark Harmon, who was a guest on Jay Leno’s show. Mark Harmon and Pam married on March 21, 1987, in a private ceremony and have two sons, Sean Thomas Harmon and Ty Christian Harmon. Despite 32 years since playing Mindy, Pam Dawber’s short appearance on "The Tonight Show" showed -- she still has her characteristic smile.
As an actress, Pam Dawber’s appearance on “The Crazy Ones” is her first TV appearance since the 1999 movie "Don't Look Behind You."
And Robin Williams is not holding back with his excitement about working with his former co-star again.
On his Twitter page, Robin Williams wrote on Jan. 23, “She's baaaaack! Coming soon to thecrazyonescbs” and “The secret is out! Can't wait to work with her again.”
Pam Dawber’s appearance on Jay Leno’s “The Tonight Show” in support of her husband Mark Harmon and the excitement about Pam Dawber’s reunion with Robin Williams is equally shared on #pamdawber.
“So nice to see #PamDawber supporting #husband #MarkHarmon from the sidelines on @JayLeno last night. A great couple.”
“32 yrs after #MorkMindy, #PamDawber reunites with @RobinWilliams for episode of @CrazyOnesCBS this season!”
