Pam Dawber and Robin Williams reunite on "The Crazy Ones"

Shazbot! Those television viewers old enough to remember the 1978 to 1982 sitcom, “Mork and Mindy” will definitely get a kick out of the recent CBS sitcom, “The Crazy Ones” this spring. Word from Orson is that Robin Williams will team up with his sidekick from “Mork and Mindy,” Pam Dawber, in an episode of “The Crazy Ones” due to air in the spring.

Dawber is written into the show as Lily, an author of travel memoirs. Williams’ ad agency executive spots Lily and is intrigued and attracted. At a signing of Lily’s most recent book, “Ninety Countries, 90 Dances,” Simon will fall for the nice looking author.

Dawber is married to NCIS star Mark Harmon. She first appeared on television with Williams in the “Mork and Mindy” series.

Dawber’s last TV appearance was in 1999, when she appeared in the film, “Don’t Look Behind You.” She is best known for her roles in the Mork and Mindy series as friend to the alien, Mork from Ork played by Williams and for her role as Samantha Russell in the 1986 to 1988 series, “My Sister Sam.” After “My Sister Sam” had stopped airing. Dawber’s co-star from the series, Rebecca Schaeffer, was shot and killed by an obsessed fan in front of her apartment. The murder left Dawber devastated.

Dawber and her co-stars from “My Sister Sam” reunited to film a public service announcement about violence prevention in the wake of the murder of Schaeffer.

Dawber sang in a 1980s opera production of “The Pirates of Penzance.” After her role in “My Sister Sam,” Dawber gave birth to her second child and left show business behind to take care of her children and her family. She acted sporadically during the 1990s.

Dawber is the national spokeswoman for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of America.

“The Crazy Ones” airs Thursdays at 9/8c on CBS.
