Pam Courson Jim Morrison's Cosmic Mate
I find it interesting that The Doors and Jim Morrison and those surrounding them still have such an influence on the world today. Case in point, Michael Barry, who lives in Anaheim Hills, CA, was shopping at his local Barnes & Noble when he came upon a book about Morrison and noticed that Jim’s “Cosmic Mate” Pamela Courson was buried at Fairhaven Cemetery in Santa Ana.
A few days later Barry, at his local Borders came across a book called “Ghosts of Orange County” and when he opened it, out fell a flyer from the publisher, Schiffer Publishing, that said “Ready to write a book?” Unfortunately, they were looking for people to write books about ghosts. Then Barry remembered the book mentioning where Pam Courson was buried and figured a grave was close to a ghost and he could write a book about the famous dead who were buried in Orange County. He sent off a proposal for the book to Schiffer Publishing. A few days later he heard back from them accepting the proposal.

Orange County's Dead and Famous
Barry spent the next year and half researching the book, finding the final resting places of such luminaries as Eddie Cochran, Kevin Dubrow, John Wayne, Carolyn Jones, Karen Carpenter, Nicole Brown Simpson, Florence Griffth-Joyner, Richard M Nixon, famed aviator Douglas “Wrong Way” Corrigan, and many others.
