The Bay Area is a fabulous place to live, but surprisingly, Palo Alto is the most livable place to call home.
The folks with Livability.com has released their annual list of the "Top 100 Best Places to Live" and Palo Alto tops the national list. PA took the top spot thanks to the city's bustling downtown area, high-ranking education and a mild climate. Berkeley rose to the top of the list as well, settling in the third spot due to their welcoming downtown and scholarly atmosphere. If you make your way towards downtown Berkeley you must (and this is a capital MUST) go to Cinnaholic to indulge your sweet tooth. Hmmm, maybe the delicious food is another reason the city is nestled in the top five?
Boulder, Colorado took second thanks to its proximity to outdoor activities, laid back vibe and a strong core of local business. A few other Bay Area places made the list, including Santa Clara (15), Santa Rosa (38), Fremont (51), Sunnyvale (85), San Rafael (90) and Hayward (92).
