A Palm Coast woman was killed in a local traffic accident early Saturday according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The FHP in Jacksonville says 59-year old Michelle Hunter Roberts was transported to Florida Hospital Flagler, but died from her injuries. Troopers say Roberts was a passenger in a car driven by a 38-year old man from Grapevine, Texas, which “…made a left turn into the direct path [of an oncoming car]…” at Belle Terre Parkway and Pine Cove Drive around midnight Saturday. The driver of the car, Richard Kelley, was in serious condition at Florida Hospital Flagler; and troopers say another passenger in the car, 36-year old Stephaine N. Daley of Grapevine, Texas, was in serious condition at Halifax Hospital. The driver of the oncoming car, a 25-year old Palm Coast man, had minor injuries and was not hospitalized. The FHP says charges are pending in the case.
