At home, Palermo ties Genoa in a scoreless tie on Saturday afternoon. This will be the 12th match in which Palermo does not achieve a victory.
ESPN Deportes reported that the game ended in a 0-0 tie. A red card was issued to the home team in the 76th minute of the match. The card went to defender Salvatore Aronica.
U.S. Citta de Palermo needed a victory as the club is trying to save itself from descending to lower division Serie B. The Rosanero (The Pink-Blacks) are in last place in the Italian soccer league table.
As for Genoa CFC, they are in 17th place and are in a struggle to stay away from the relegation zone. The last three spots descend, and the Rossoblu (The Red-blues) is only a position away from that.
There are only 12 games left to this year’s season of Serie A. The next game for Palermo is against 11th place Torino on March 3. For Genoa, they play 8th place AS Roma on the same date for round 27 of Serie A.
