Guests at Palace Resorts’ Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort in Cancun will get a big surprise if they’re staying there over the year-end holidays: a world-class ice skating show, right on the property. What’s more, Palace Resorts guests staying for five or more nights will get a pair of complimentary tickets for the show (worth as much as $100 a pop).

The 2,400-room Moon Palace is going to turn its arena into a huge skating rink for a colorful production of Broadway on Ice – A Special Holiday Celebration to be presented Dec. 22 through Jan. 4.

The critically acclaimed production will feature skating by Olympic gold medalist Brian Boitano and Broadway star Franc D’Ambrosio along with a star-studded international cast performing to the music of such classic Broadway shows as Phantom Of The Opera, Chicago, Cabaret and Les Miserables. Standard ticket prices will range from $49 to $100 per person.

“The Palace Resorts team continually strives to elevate the all-inclusive concept by bringing high profile acts ranging from Grammy award-winning singers to show-stopping spectacles. These unexpected offerings have further elevated our signature property, Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort, into Cancun’s premier entertainment destination,” said Gibran Chapur, Executive Vice President of Palace Resorts.

The skating rink will be open to hotel guests during the days of the production. Free ice skate rentals will be provided to guests.

Located on 123 acres on Cancun’s south shore, the all-inclusive Moon Palace is among seven Palace Resorts properties overlooking the Mexican Caribbean at Cancun and the Riviera Maya and on the nearby islands of Cozumel and Isla Mujeres.
