Beyonce can cause a distraction anywhere she goes, but she created such a big diversion at Super Bowl XLVII that two Georgia College students literally walked into the Super Bowl without tickets!
The two college students entered the big game at the Superdome through a loading dock.
"Everyone was watching Beyonce," said Joseph Roberts, 32, an English major at Savannah State University in Georgia and an aspiring screenwriter.
He and fellow student Malachi Youngblood, 24, decided to travel to New Orleans to enjoy the Super Bowl festivities and ended up walking right into the big game for free, which doesn't bode well for the Superdome security.
The two took a video of their experience that night and even though neither the New Orleans stadium nor the National Football League has contacted them, they are willing to show what they saw in efforts to help improve security at the stadium.
"If something needs to be addressed, we hope this video can spark the dialogue," said Roberts. "The only way we can help is through telling our story."
The whole event started like this. The college students had small cameras strapped to their forehead so they could record the crowds on Bourbon Street.
"With their cameras still rolling, they walked to the front of the Superdome through a maze of parking decks and tailgate areas before finally arriving at a loading dock during the halftime performance."
It will be interesting to see what comes of this, especially in this day and age where no one should just be able to walk right in such a major event.
