After several days of hot and humid weather conditions. relief is on the way via a pair of cold fronts that will drive through New Jersey this afternoon. However, widely scattered to isolated showers and thunderstorms will have to be dealt with this afternoon before getting to the pleasant weather conditions.

Today, the cold fronts will move through New Jersey by late this afternoon and early evening with widely scattered to isolated showers and thunderstorms. The strongest thunderstorms will be capable of heavy downpours, occasional lightning, and wind gusts over 40 mph. Winds will veer from the southwest to the west at 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 80's along the coast and upper 80's to lower 90's throughout the rest of New Jersey.

Tonight, the cold front will clear the coast with clearing skies throughout New Jersey. Winds will veer to the northwest at 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures will slowly fall into the upper 60's to lower 70's.

Tomorrow, high pressure will take hold with scattered clouds and a reduction in humidity which will lead to rather pleasant weather conditions. Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph. Temperatures will rise into the lower to mid 80's along the immediate coast and mid 80's throughout the rest of New Jersey.

High pressure will remain in control Friday on through Sunday with clear skies to scattered cloud cover expected. Humidity will remain on the low side leading to very comfortable weather conditions. Low temperatures will range from the upper 50's to lower 60's over northwestern New Jersey and mid to upper 60's along the coast. High temperatures will rise into the lower to mid 80's along the coast and mid 80's throughout the rest of New Jersey.

A very strong cold front will drive through New Jersey on Monday with widespread showers and thunderstorms expected. A few thunderstorms may reach severe levels. Low temperatures will range from the upper 60's to lower 70's. High temperatures will return to the upper 80's to lower 90's.

A very cool air mass invade by Tuesday and is expected to remain in place for several days. Scattered clouds can be expected with high pressure in control. Low temperatures will range from the upper 50's to lower 60's. High temperatures only in the mid to upper 70's!
