Pair of bonded dachshunds urgently need home or rescue

Tubbles and Harley are a pair of sweet, friendly male dachshunds who are in urgent need of a forever home or foster home. They have lived together for years and need to be placed together. Their elderly owner is no longer able to care for them, so they are currently living in a temporary foster situation until a more permanent placement can be found.

Tubbles is a large shorthaired red dachshund male, weighing about 23 lbs, which is all muscle, not fat. He is a healthy and playful 2.5 year old. Tubbles is neutered, heartworm-negative, up to date on vaccinations and current on flea/heartworm preventative as well.

Harley is a tiny boy, only about 8 lbs. He is approximately 14 years old. As is typical for his age, Harley is blind in one eye, has a heart murmur and arthritis. He loves to cuddle and often wags with joy when his temporary foster mom comes to visit him. Harley is a dark dapple dachshund who looks mostly black with short hair. He is neutered, heartworm-negative, up to date on vaccinations, flea and heartworm preventative. Harley has even had a recent dental cleaning.

Both dogs enjoy going for a daily walk and love attention. Tubbles loves to run and chase toys. Harley enjoys pulling all of the stuffing out of them. If kept on a regular routine, they have no problems with housetraining. They are located in Madison, TN, just north of Nashville.

These adorable friends are looking for a forever retirement home or a rescue that is willing to commit to keeping them together. Any rescue would be lucky to have these sweet, cuddly dogs because they have already had all of their vet work completed. All they need now is a loving home or foster home. If you are interested in fostering or adopting Tubbles and Harley, please email their temporary foster mom, Aurora, at aurora@diacpa.com.
