The tragedy in Newtown CT took a toll on our hearts and minds. Twenty innocent lives were destroyed by an insane gunmen. Connecticut is home to me. In fact Newtown is the next town over from Trumbull where I am from. I remember listening to the radio on snow days and anxiously awaiting to see if they would close Trumbull/ Newtown schools. I never thought I would listen to the radio and hear such horror.
We come to earth to experience the pain, so we can understand the deepness of love and healing. Like you I would prefer the pain to go away like a bad rain storm. When the pain is gone, I am left with a gift of better awareness of what is important and good. Those precious twenty doves in CT and 6 adults sacrificed to teach us a powerful lesson of what is wrong with our society of violence, rage and mental illness. Let their lives not be lived in vain. Realizing what is important precious and valuable and moving away from what is not.We should create a new nursery rhyme. Pain pain, go away and please lord let the light and goodness stay.
