VanZant, 19, says the show could be a bit like Bad Girls Club All-Star Battle, a reality show that focuses on the violent altercations and physical confrontations of several highly aggressive, quarrelsome, and unruly women.
"12 Gauge" might be on to something, being that TUF 20 will feature a handful of women with strong personalities, including "Rowdy" Bec Hyatt and Felice Herrig.
Additionally, there are already several known real-life feuds and alliances between cast members. Carla Esparza and Herrig are best friends, so that's one key alliance in the house.
Esparza has feuded in the past with Tecia Torres and Claudia Gadelha, both of whom will be featured on the show. Another feud in the TUF 20 house pits Hyatt against Scottish striker Joanne Calderwood.
Hyatt and Calderwood's real-life "beef" dates back to their Invicta FC days, although it's unclear exactly what incident their feud stems from.
As for VanZant, she's well-aware that Rose Namajunas respectfully called her out a few months ago. She also knows Jordan Nicole Gaza might end up on the show, and there might be some lingering hard feelings there as well.
I'm expecting this to be like Bad Girls Club. It should be fun. It'll be a really good experience.
VanZant says she would prefer to be on Anthony Pettis' team during TUF 20, if only because she finds him attractive. Pettis is married and has a daughter, but his younger brother, Sergio, is a UFC fighter who is close in age to VanZant.
Perhaps Sergio Pettis and Paige VanZant will be the first ever love connection made on a TUF season.
Coaching-wise I don't have a preference, but I did post on Twitter that I'd rather be on Anthony Pettis' team because he's really cute.
