"Pageant" Musical Brings Different Winner Every Night

And the winner is....

No it's not old Oscar news...that was so 72 hours ago.

"Pageant," the drag musical show about a beauty contest, returns to San Francisco this Thursday at the Victoria Theatre.

I've seen the show in two previous Bay Area productions and it did not disappoint. So my expectations are very high this time around. And, it could be a new winner every time as audience judges actually pick the winner each performance.

This time around, we have a new cast and creative team bringing the show to life. One of the contestants in the Miss Glamouresse competition is played by the drool Cookie Dough, which many may know as Sophia in the drag "Golden Girls."

Cookie is joined by a cast of back-stabbing beauty contestants lead by James Roderick, known to San Francisco audiences as Daft-Nee Gesuntheit! of Marlena's Bar. Our beauties sing, dance and act like spokesmodels, promoting the most outlandish products.

Don't wait to get your tickets as the show is only here two weeks. Performances are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm through March 9. Get tickets and information at
