Paganism and Spring Cleaning

Ostara is right around the corner, and it is probably time for spring cleaning around your house, especially on days when it isn't raining so that you can consider a garage sale or at least moving things outside to accumulate. Cleansing has always been a part of spring symbolically. In order to invite new blessings into our lives, sometimes we have to clear out old negativity or stale energies.

Traditionally, baths and sweeping before rituals have been used in all seasons. However, this spring you can bring a bit of the magic into your spring housecleaning. Sing loudly to scare out the evil spirits and to wake up the joy that makes flowers grow. Clean yourself and clean your space so that you can take pride in your surroundings. Donate excess clutter to charity. The more room that you make in your life and in your home this spring, the more you can expect good energies to make themselves at home.
