Friday, September 20: Grace and The Dragon and The Rose in Santa Ana present a class on Oracles. This Friday’s theme is Bibliomancy, and attendees are encouraged to bring their favorite inspirational book. The cost of the class is $15. Grace presents a new topic weekly, from 7pm-830pm.
Saturday, September 21: The Goddess Temple of Orange County in Irvine is hosting a lecture entitled “Live Life on your Terms,” presented by Janine Elias, and Priestess Mata, from 1pm to 230pm at the Goddess Temple of Orange County in Irvine. A love donation of $15 is requested, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Discover how goddess archetypes can help shift your perspective on your life, your finances, and how to live with abundance.
Saturday, September 21: The Bowers Museum in Santa Ana presents a lecture entitled, “Elements and Principles of Art and Design in the “Spirits and Headhunters” Exhibition” from 12pm-1pm, and repeated at 130pm-230pm, followed by a mask making workshop from 240pm-330pm. The fee for members is $7, and non members is $10. Dr. Irini Vallera-Rickerson. Tickets are available online and attendees can make reservations online or at the front desk.
Saturday, September 21: Practical Magicka presents the next installment of “Study of the Orishas,” at 230pm. This lecture is a great way to begin to familiarize oneself with the basics of Santeria, and each lecture focuses on all aspects of a new Orisha. The fee is $15, and attendees will dress a candle according to the Orisha being studied, which can be purchased from Practical Magicka.
Saturday, September 21: Local Pagan scholar, musician, and occult expert Lon Milo DuQuette will be appearing at the Dharma Center Bookstore in Whittier, presenting music and magickal insights from 7pm-9pm in “Low Magick: It’s not as low as you think.” Donations are welcome.
Saturday, September 21: “Wicca 201” is presented at a private residence from 7pm-9pm, followed by a potluck dinner. This class theme is Mabon, thanksgiving and harvest and includes a ritual. RSVP with the Long Beach Pagan Meetup.
Sunday, September 22: The Fourth Sunday of the month at The Goddess Temple of Orange County in Irvine is open to all genders, and this week’s special speaker will present the lecture, “Confronting Male Bias in Maltese Archaeology, with Priestess Alexis Martin Faaberg. Doors open at 10am, and service is from 11am-1245pm. A love offering is welcomed.
Wednesday, September 25: All adult genders may participate in an experiential lecture presented by Vajra Ma and The Goddess Temple of Orange County entitled “The Nectar of Wisdom,” from 730pm-930pm. Class registration fee is $20 and pre-registration is not required. A visual and auditory presentation is combined with guided movement. This class is a fundraiser, with all proceeds going to The Goddess Temple of Orange County in Irvine.
