The Endometriosis Foundation of America (EFA) held their third annual Blossom Ball tonight at the New York Public Library and it attracted a star studded guest list including Co-Founder Padma Lakshimi, Co-Host Susan Sarandon, Bridget Moynahan, Jill Flint and Dr. Oz. The Blossom Ball benefitted the Endometriosis Foundation of America as well as offering a festive, black tie atmosphere.
The Blossom Ball raised much needed funds through ticket sales and an auction for the Endometriosis Foundation of America which works hard to fight against the devastating effects of Endometriosis which affects millions of females. The non-profit organization is committed to improving the lives of women who are affected by the disease through early detection and treatment.
“More physicians need to increase their knowledge of this pervasive disease in order to properly diagnose it. Early intervention is the best prevention against long term complications which can include infertility, hysterectomy, losing ovaries and multiple surgeries.” –Dr. Seckin; Co-Founder EFA
The third annual Blossom Ball started off with a cocktail reception at 7pm which led to dinner, auction, entertainment, dessert and dancing. The event was hosted by Susan Surandon, Cindi Leive and Eileen Guggenheim. The event founders are Padma Lakshmi and Tamer Sekin MD. Tickets for the event started at $120 for one person which included cocktails, dessert and dancing, and went up to $15,000 for a table of ten with premiere seating as well as cocktails, dinner, dessert and dancing.
