With Mardi Gras right around the corner, Delightful Pastries has begun serving its award winning paczkis. Delightful Pastries has three drunken paczkis and a variety of traditional flavors to satisfy your craving.

For those unfamiliar, a paczki is a traditional Polish pastry. This pastry is a round, deep fried piece of dough that contains a sweet filing. Traditionally, paczkis are served prior to Lent because the sweet treat was a way to use all the lard, sugar and eggs in the house.

Delightful Pastries, with three locations in Chicago, offers three drunken donuts to celebrate the good times before the Lenten season. These famous Drunken Paczki are Jameson Whiskey with Chocolate Custard; Vodka and Custard with Madagascar Vanilla, and Lemon Curd with Moonshine.

Delightful Pastries offers a variety of paczki flavors. This year the bakery will offer the following:

  • Custard Paczki Topped with Chocolate Fudge
  • Fresh Strawberry & Whipped Cream Paczki
  • Apricot Jelly Paczki
  • Plum Butter Paczki
  • Raspberry Jelly Paczki
  • Rose Petal Jelly Paczki

Paczki gourmet flavors:

  • Cannoli Paczki, filled with the same filling as our cannoli
  • Passion Fruit Jelly, a great taste of the Caribbean

To fulfill orders for Mardi Gras and Paczki Day, please call any of the three Delightful Pastries locations to place your order. All orders should be placed by March 2.
