In my opinion, this appearance by Manny Pacquiao is an example of his popularity in America. I think there are several reasons why Manny has finally gained a wide acceptance in this country. Let's examine a few of these reasons.

Manny Pacquiao displays a character that's sorely lacking in many of the top American athletes. Manny has respect, integrity, and humility. It's a rare combination that's absent in many American professional athletes. His desire to help fellow countrymen and his praise for God shows a compassion and faith that many Americans embrace.
Boxing Skills
America loves a winner and Manny Pacquiao is the best in the sport of Boxing. His rise from obscurity and elite in-ring skills are unparalleled. His numerous titles and historical significance in the sport of Boxing have endeared him to many sports fans.
Floyd Mayweather Jr
After the absurd amount of media coverage for the fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr, these two men have become synonymous with each other. With Floyd's continual games, crimes, and negative media attention it has helped the American public see who really was the bad guy in the entire PacMan vs. Money May saga.

Manny Pacquiao is your favorite boxer's favorite boxer. Unfortunately, Manny's career is winding down and for good reason...we would never want to see any long-term bodily harm done to Pacquiao. Hopefully, one day we will see Pacquiao as priest or maybe working for the Vatican. That would be awesome.
