Manny Pacquiao's popularity appears to have no limits. Pacquiao is scheduled to fight in November and was looking to have the second bout of his 2011 campaign on Saturday the 12th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum said that the MGM was originally booked with an "Eagles" concert and that he was asked to reschedule the Pacquiao fight. But the veteran promoter had another trick up his sleeve. According to ESPN.com, Bob Arum made the following comments about Pacquiao vs. "The Eagles":
"I am good friends with the manager of the Eagles, Irving Azoff. I've known him for years. So I called him up and told him the issue and he called the band. An hour later, he called back and said no problem."

Apparently, "The Eagles" agreed to take the date of November 5th and give Pacquiao the date of November 12th. It appears that Arum's ties to the sports and entertainment industries paid off in this situation. It's also a testament to the global popularity of Manny Pacquiao. According to Arum, via Dan Rafael of ESPN, "The Eagles" are huge fans of Manny.
"He (Azoff)said the band wanted to send us a message -- 'Because we so admire Manny Pacquiao, we would be privileged to move our concert to Nov. 5."
Arum stated that he will invite "The Eagles" to the fight on November 12th.
Manny Pacquiao will almost certainly fight Juan Manuel Marquez on November 12th. Marquez met with Arum yesterday and agreed to the contract. Marquez fought Manny in 2004 to a controversial draw and then rematches Manny in 2008 and lost by a controversial split decision. Marquez, who holds two championships in the lightweight division, is expected to give Manny another tough contest.
However, despite Golden Boy Promotions agreeing to allow Marquez to fight Manny, there's still a slight delay in the contract being official. According to Pacquiao's adviser Michael Koncz, Pacquiao has yet to sign the contract as they are waiting for the financial details. For more on Manny's delay:
