The greatest pound for pound fighter in the World Manny Pacquiao has softened his stance and now will agree to blood testing up to 14 days before a fight with Floyd Mayweather. Now the question is, will "the one and lonely" Mayweather accept these rules or will he change again and back out of the Pacman fight one more time.
Where the last fight was canceled, it was because Mayweather wanted a 14 day cut-off on the blood tests and Manny wanted a 24 days cut-off. But Pacman has softened his stance and here is why,
"I am willing to help the sport for the future of the sport. I do not want to see anyone cheat or cheat this sport. For that reason I am willing to consider taking blood as close as 14 days prior to the fight, as long as, my opponent does the same, and it is not a lot of blood, just enough to test," Pacquiao said and continued,
"I do not want anyone having an unfair advantage where someone may get hurt. I am willing to do my part to help this sport out." He has also agreed to take a blood test immediately after the fight.
Pacman has not even watched Mayweather's beating of Mosley. Why should he? He won't learn anything. Mosley has none of the boxing style of Pacquiao, and Mayweather can never do what he did to Mosley to Pacman. So come on Floyd, step up and sign the contracts and let's get it one and over and send you home to cry.

This might be the silliest Mayweather/Pacquiao piece I've ever read. You seem to have forgotten that it was Manny, not Floyd, who disagreed with the testing stipulations -- the EXACT stipulations he's now in agreement with -- and lead to the fight being called off. You're talking as if Floyd was the one claiming to have a problem with giving blood and "backed out" of the fight. Hopefully Manny has really man'd up and is finally willing to get it on.
I think Pacquiao is really agreeable to the 14 day matter. However his team who were fed up w/ Floyd advises him to leave the matter to the commission. Anyway, I think this blood test and the effects of juice are highly overrated and blown out of proportion by the bigger guy because he can't fight Pac under a fair shuffle of cards even in a game of poker. BTW, I heard that Mosley gave blood going to Vegas and that did not happen to Floyd.

But I think I will pick Pacman to win against PBF. Floyd is great, but I just keep remembering how Pacman dismantled Miguel Cotto (don't forget that Cotto destroyed Mosley). That was the last time I bet against Pacquiao.
When was the last time pacman fought a fighter coming off a legitimate win? Cotto hasnt been the same since Margarito destroyed his face and confidence with his plaster gloves and Cotto's win over Clottey wasn't clear enough. De la Hoya dehydrated himself to fight at welterweight (division which he hadn't fought in 10 years) Hatton was also damaged good since Mayweather destroyed him. Pacquiao has never fought a legitimate boxer he only fought brawlers and walking punching bags (Clottey) so Mayweather will take him to school. This is coming from a fan of both fighters. Truth posted on May 4th about Valero. Don't you follow the sport my friend? Edwin Valero is dead!!! Very tragic circumstances all round. Back to Manny and Floyd, the fight we all want to see - Arum is the one that is stopping this going ahead in my opinion. Floyd wants to fight, Manny wants to fight, Warriors don't know fear and will walk into a fight knowing that they can lose at any second but you always have to believe you're the better fighter or you've already lost. That's not from me, that came from a certain Mr Ali.
Based on floyd's fight, he got rocked by a slow, weak & old Mosley. 2 right hooks & he almost got knock down? Against Pacquaio, how many right & left hooks will floyd take? Plus the uppercuts & straight shots coming from different angles. I don't think floyd can withstand pacman's fury. Manny can take floyd's best power punch but floyd can't handle pacman's bunches of power punches.
JMM looked ballooned compared to when he came into the ring against Pac. And even then Floyd still has the gall not to meet the predetermined catchweight (for the record I'm not a fan of Pac's catchweight requirements either). The weight gain after weigh in can be said for JMM opponents at lower weights too. And don't tell me Floyd weighed the same at weigh in as fight night. For the past few years Floyd has refused (as many fighters have also refused)to step on the unnofficial scale on fight night.
As for drug testing, my issue is why all of a sudden beginning with Pac? Marquez was coming up and that was the first fight after a layoff. Why is it a non-issue for 40 fights then a change of mindset? It is mindgames and a negotiating ploy. James Toney, Shane Mosely, Roy Jones among others were suspect years ago, yet there was no comment or concern from Floyd back then. I actually am a fan of Floyd's skills, I just get frustrated with all the antics and disrespect.

I'm starting to respect Pacman as he's not ducking anyone. Fighting Margarito at Mexico? That has to be the gutsiest move I have ever seen in boxing.

For me, it's proof that all the talk about blood tests was just a way to stall. Pac met his demands and now Floyd says he is relaxing and taking care of his family. Floyd doesn't want to face Pacquiao simply because he knows there is a chance he could lose. The random drug testing fiasco earlier this year seemed to be just a way of making sure that he came out on top and stay undefeated.
