The mission of PACP is: to unite Filipino and American citizens in the Virginia Peninsula/Hampton Roads area through cultural, athletic, academic, and social events, which are designed with our goal and vision in mind.
Via correspondence with incoming President of PACP, Marides Daus, some of the attributes and goals for PACP in 2013 include:
“The PACP is the only Filipino-American organization in the Virginia Peninsula. In keeping up with its theme “Reach Out, Get Involved, Give Back, Make a Difference… Together, We Can,” the PACP strives to fulfill its mission and goals as it reaches out to the local community, as well as to the beloved motherland, Philippines. The PACP supports various local projects such as “Operation Smile”, “Relay for Life”, “Habitat for Humanity”, “Food Bank Food Drive”, etc. It also offers scholarship assistance to deserving youths as well as assistance to member families in need. The PACP promotes the Filipino cultural heritage by presenting or participating at various cultural shows and programs such as “Filipiniana Night”, “Fil-Am Friendship Day”, “Denbigh Day Parade”, and “Simbang Gabi”. It also helps with disaster relief measures in the Philippines and is a proud sponsor of “Gawad Kalinga” and “Children Ministry Projects” which are both Community Outreach projects in the Philippines”.
