Many thought that the team could win without Rodgers, but they just could not.
Now, almost a month later, the team has found itself barely treading water in the NFC North.
The team has gone through three different backups and none have been able to win. If the Packers are to succeed in the near future, they will need to have an excellent off-season through the draft and through free agency.
On Thanksgiving Day, the team gave up 561 yards on defense and on offense only scored three points. In fact, ever since Rodgers went down, the defense has been giving up tons of yards, and the offense hasn't been able to put up points.
So, instead of rushing Rodgers back onto the field and seeing that the team still can't win, the Packers should make sure he is fully recovered from his broken collarbone before sending him out on the field.
It's still possible that the team gets help from the Bears and Lions, and win the rest of their games, but it's unlikely.
There's so many glaring holes on this team that getting Rodgers back might not even help.
If the team finds itself eliminated from the playoffs, general manager Ted Thompson will need to pick up a ton of talent, especially on defense or Rodgers' talent could go to waste.
