The Green Bay Packers could struggle mightily against the San Francisco passing attack Sunday after the most recent injury report was released.
Safety Morgan Burnett, a starter, has been ruled out with a nagging hamstring injury he has been dealing with since August. Jerron McMillian, a second-year strong safety, will play in his place.
McMillian and M.D. Jennings will start at safety. Both players are inexperienced and mostly used in nickel and dime situations. The San Francisco 49ers could use this to their advantage with the deep ball.
Besides Burnett, another starter in the secondary, cornerback Casey Hayward is out for Sunday's game and, reportedly, for the entire month.
Behind Hayward on the depth chart would likely be Jarrett Bush, also more of a nickel and dime player.
Whatever the situation brings, the Packers will need to pressure Colin Kaepernick with their front seven and keep him from passing medium to deep passes to keep the pressure off the young, inexperienced players.
