Green Bay Packers All-Pro linebacker and Super Bowl champion Clay Matthews joins CBS Sports as a contributing analyst on the CBS Television Network’s Super Bowl pre-game show, “The Super Bowl Today” on February 3. The announcement was made Thursday by Sean McManus, Chairman, CBS Sports and Executive Producer of “The NFL on CBS”.

Matthews joins host James Brown, Dan Marino, Bill Cowher, Shannon Sharpe and Boomer Esiason, along with Greg Gumbel, on the Super Bowl pre-game show broadcast from New Orleans.

This season Matthews ranked fifth in the NFL with 13 sacks and was voted to the Pro Bowl for the fourth consecutive time despite missing four games due to injury. He became the first Packer in franchise history to earn Pro Bowl recognition in each of his first four seasons in the league. He led the Packers to the Super Bowl XLV title in 2011.

CBS, WTSP locally, will broadcast the pre-game shows and game on Sunday February 3.

Singer/actress/author Deana Martin, the daughter of the legendary entertainer Dean Martin, will be appearing in the Tampa Bay area on Sunday (January 26) at the Palace Grand Hotel in Spring Hill for a 6:30 p.m. show. She’ll be singing songs made famous by her dad and telling stories of the famous “Rat Pack”.

Deana is touring the country doing shows in tribute to Dean Martin. She is also promoting the new release of a DVD package of her dad’s television variety show that aired on NBC in the 60’s and 70’s.

I spoke with Deana earlier this week on my radio show. Click here to listen to the podcast.
