Packed Full of Luck and Charm, Ireland At Its Absolute Best This 2012!

Now that 2012 is here, it is the perfect time to plan the year ahead and why not make a trip to Ireland part of that plan? Here is the reason why.

Imagine wide open hills of beautiful green grass, gorgeous waterfalls tucked away in the side of mountain, hearing the sounds of the ocean while you stand on the side of cliff pretending you are the poet W.B. Yeats exploring all the beauty that Ireland has to give. This is why you should make Ireland a goal this year. Backpacking is the perfect way to explore the rugged, sparkling terrain as you start your way from Dublin and trek around the entire coast of both Ireland and Northern Ireland. Seeing the Giants Causeway a mythical creation of rocks that seem to form an amazing pathway across the ocean in Northern Ireland, or exploring the rough seas of the West Coast in Galway where you will eat the most scrumptious salmon, will have you falling in love with this beautiful island.

There are great inexpensive backpacking tours that as a student you can take advantage of without burning a hole in your pocket. They will provide a full tour of the entire Irish coast starting in Dublin and going across the border into Northern Ireland. You will have an educational experience visiting Belfast and Derry, two historical cities that have violence and division over the years. You will hear amazing stories of survival, freedom, and revolution while exploring the beauty of the northern Irish coast. As you make your way down the west coast you will find an endless amount of fresh seafood to eat and experience the wilderness while riding horseback in Galway or Killarney. Don't forget to meet Dingle the Dolphin while you visit one of top 100 places to see in the world, the Dingle Peninsula. Next you will make your way south and stop to kiss the Blarney stone and meeting some of the friendliest people in the world in Cork a city that's name can never be forgotten.

As a student, not only is Ireland a cultural and educational experience, but it will give provide you with that sense of adventure that you have always wanted to explore while on your travels. Just be sure to pack your umbrella and raincoat, and keep an eye out for those rainbows!
