Franklin Road Academy is in the market for a new football coach as David Pack has resigned as head football coach and Assistant to the head of the school after being arrested Thursday night in a prostitution sting conducted by Metro police.
Pack, 49, was charged with patronizing prostitution which is a misdemeanor and he was taken into custody, booked and released on $2,000 bond.
He will appear in court on Feb. 22.
"The FRA administration was shocked and saddened to learn this morning of a situation involving Mr. David Pack," a school release said. "Effective immediately, Mr. Pack has resigned from Franklin Road Academy.
"Due to the legal nature of the situation, the school will have no further comment at this time."
Pack had complied a 23-22 record at FRA in four seasons as head coach.
Pack won a state championship in girls basketball while at Ensworth in 2008.

Pack was at Ensworth from 2003 until 2008 and was also a football assistant for the Tigers.
Before coming to Ensworth, Pack won two Class 1A state titles at Christ Presbyterian Academy in 2000 and 2002 and had a 77-28 record in eight seasons.
His overall coaching record was 100-50 in 12 years as head coach.
He started his coaching career at Brentwood Academy where he coached girls basketball and was an assistant football coach under legendary Carlton Flatt.
According to an affadavit, Pack saw an advertisement on the website Backpage.com and went Thursday night to a Dickerson Road hotel where the sting was being conducted by Metro police detectives.
Pack was told by phone to go to one of the rooms, where he then agreed for $150 to have sex with an undercover officer.
When contacted on Friday he declined comment on the advice of his lawyer Worrick Robinson
