The Pacific Festival Dunes splashes into Orange County again, this Saturday, August 16. Set times have just been announced today. Exact times are in the attached photo chart for your viewing ease. The hand-picked headliners include Holy Ghost!, Moon Boots, Bones, and Poolside. The party continues late into the night with Georgio Moroder's Disco Paradise at The Observatory, where the artist himself will perform his classic songs from the glory days of disco from 9 p.m. to 2 p.m.
The Pacific Festival, currently the lone music festival in Orange County, also features the opportunity to watch some shows while catching rays and cooling off in the water. To get in the mood for the Festival, you can download a free mixtape put together by Overjoy or DJ Metric and DJ Hoff.
The festival started in 2011, with varied artists from Snoop Dogg, Ghostland Observatory, and Australian dance act, Cut Copy, and DJ Steve Aoki as headliners. Indie darlings such as Toro y Moi and Phantogram also appeared. The festival's first event generated great feedback from music fans.
Tickets currently start at $65 for general admission. With VIP tickets a little more expensive. If you repost the set times graphic on Facebook, you will be entered into a contest to win passes to the VIP Village with front row seating, and full cash bar. And tickets will be priced higher the day of the festival. Unfortunately, the festival is for ages 18 and over.
The Pacific Festival takes place rain or shine at the Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina
1131 Back Bay Drive in Newport Beach, CA. No refunds are offered. To find out more and buy tickets, visit www.pacificfestival.com.
