Pacific Design Center awards John Van Hamersveld as Graphic Designer of the Year

Legendary graphic designer and artist John Van Hamersveld will receive the "Graphic Designer of the Year" award at the Pacific Design Center's "Stars of Design" ceremony this Wednesday, March 23rd.
 
This award ceremony honors eight esteemed California professionals for their significant achievements and contributions in each professional's specific field of design. The ceremony serves as a central component of Westweek, the Pacific Design Center's largest annual design industry event.
 
To coincide with John Van Hamersveld's winning of this great honor, an exhibit of 60 graphic design works from his collection will open at the Pacific Design Center this Tuesday, March 22nd as part of Westweek's "Design Loves Art" public reception. The exhibit will remain on display through April 29th.

In addition, the Pacific Design Center launches the John Van Hamersveld Visual Art Book lecture, which will occur at the auditorium on Wednesday, April 6th. This event will include an exploration of John's new 150 page book My Art, My Life and an examination of the fifty year collection of John's graphic design works, covering from 1961 to the present day. Furthermore, a book signing with John for My Art, My Life will occur in the lobby area before and after the event.
