PACER benefit and upcoming workshops

This Saturday, May 3, PACER Center will be hosting their 32nd annual benefit to raise funds to support the programs, workshops, and individual assistance that they provide to so many families of children and young adults with disabilities. The dynamic Diana Ross, lead singer of The Supremes as well as a popular solo artist, will be performing at this event. Tickets are still available for this not-to-be-missed event for pickup at will call.

After the benefit, PACER picks right up where they left off and will be hosting two great workshops next week. One for parents of children under the age of 3 and the other for parents looking to get more information about assistive technology.

The first workshop, Everything You Need to Learn Before Your Child Turns 3, will take place on Tuesday, May 6, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm and will help families gain a better understanding of the transition between early-intervention services to preschool services by covering requirements, goals, objectives, and more. You can register online.

Then on Thursday, May 8, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, Little Kids, Big Differences Assistive Technology Workshop Series: Assistive Technology in the IFSP and IEP will cover the process for how to have assistive technology included in your child's program and how to be an advocate for technology for your child. You can register online and if you prefer, you can even choose to live stream this event on your computer.

Both of next week's workshops will take place right at PACER Center in Minneapolis. Follow the links to register online or call PACER Center at (952) 838-9000.
