What Pace felt may have been perceived as weakness by others ended up being his strengths. Pace was disciplined not to take anything for granted in the competitive sport of bass fishing. On the third day he went five hours without a fish, consider the stagger. Pace was on the inside lane way ahead of the field before the starting gun went off.
