Kimberly Watts, 26, was accused of stabbing a puppy, Trooper, and Danny Watts, 25, was witnessed throwing another puppy, Sadie, against the wall. This was in retaliation for one of the puppies biting their two-year-old daughter's lip.

According to police, the toddler was unsupervised with the puppies at the time of the incident.

A cousin claims to have seen a 4-5” knife and says that Kimberly stated, “I tried to kill him.”

The child is reportedly doing well. Trooper is doing better and Sadie required surgery for a fractured elbow. Both are recovering in the care of C.R.I.C.A.A.T. Two other dogs were removed from the couple’s mobile home Wednesday evening.

Donations toward their care can be made to C.R.I.C.A.A.T. at P.O. Box 117, Washington, PA 15301.

The couple was taken to Washington County Jail.

According to the C.R.I.C.A.A.T. Facebook page, their preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 10 at the Office of District Justice Wilson, 604B Park Avenue, Monongahela, PA 15063 at 2:15 p.m.
