Dowd who has an imaginary friend – a six-foot imaginary “rabbit” who also happens to become the reason David is committed by his sister, although who, come to find out also starts to see for herself this “imaginary friend.” Oh my, only she starts to look like the “loony” tunes one do things start to make sense, or more crazy. And oh my how the story unfolds with all sorts of humor laced with mystery, intrigue and the never ending imaginations that run as wild as Harvey, the rabbit – at least until the truth comes out. This is one play you won’t want to miss – if you can handle it. Anywhere, USA – Hello, have you lost perspective? Last week I mentioned, “change your frame of mind” so this week it will be, “change your perspective, before you lose… well, your…let's just say "day." It can ultimately change your life (the big picture), but for now, we will just say, it can change something as simple as a conversation. Whether in a meeting, when you know it’s going to take a huge chunk of your day, instead of "dreading the meeting" bring a specialty coffee and treat yourself to a sinful something to go with and enjoy it (it is what you make it). Make the best of a situation you can’t change – and change how you deal with it.
The other biggie (and one we can only hope many more follow) is when on the road driving, you can change perspective to change the outcome of an inevitable; such as knowing that the car in front of you in the far right lane is going to veer over at any second – so rather than get upset, back off a few car lengths and let it happen. They are making the idiot move, not you. Changing perspective when you can’t change the inevitable is a simple feat that can change the outcome of your day, (and likely others around you), and eventually life. Cuss words don’t change someone else’s idiotic dealings in life – but they make you look like someone totally out of control (and how many times have we seen that?); get the picture?
In conversation, looking at how someone perceives what you say and thinks about something you're trying to convey can often be misunderstood (and often is, more than 70 percent of the time) – from your facial expression to the words that come out of your mouth. In turn, you can tell whether or not someone understands you or not, regardless of whether they are shaking their head “yes” – their eyes are telling you no, they do not get it. Perspective is huge in business dealings and in every day conversations. (Such as how a smile can say a hundred words; a picture can say a thousand; you get the idea.) Couples face this every single day, such as with the “choose your battle” syndrome: Example: Which is more important, fighting over who left the toothpaste cap off, or, who is going to purchase the champagne for the romantic evening at home (or who forgot to)? Bottom line is that neither are; not when you get to the heart of perspective (and love) – as long as you both get a night alone, does anything else even matter? Perspective goes a long way in love, life and business – if you choose to “never settle for the taintings but accept and go for the original paintings of life," those originals being all of those heartfelt moments you create and make the best of. So, the question of the week is, what perspective will you have today? And by the way, have you had your smile today? (And more importantly, have you shared it with others?)

–The Stragglyrs are a “rootsy” group who produce some of the best folk-rock and country rock music in the Bay Area playing somewhere near you with quality songs that are nothing short of superb, some with politically correct (or incorrect) – you choose!
–Doc Roc and the Disorderlies – That’s right, there is a cure for what ails you right here in the Bay Area with Doc Roc and the Disorderlies and, you get the hottest cover music in the nation or, maybe even some of their awesome originals. From good old-fashioned Rock & Roll, jazz and all sorts of mix of music and they play at all sorts of nonprofit so check out their schedule for the next np event.
–Leona Lewis sings "Bleeding Love" is a great song for this time (or any time) of year.
–If you don't know Lifehouse's song, "Already Gone" you are missing out on one heck of an amazing song.

San Jose – Symphony Silicon Valley presents: Verdi’s Requiem on March 23 at 8 p.m. and on March 24 at 2:30 p.m. at the California Theatre. To celebrate Verdi’s 200th anniversary, the orchestra and chorale perform his dramatic Requiem in the resonant and resplendent California Theatre. Written for the concert hall rather than the cathedral the Requiem moves from the “awe and majesty” of Judgment Day to the tenderness of a prayer for peace. With opera credits that range from Milan to the Met, Maestro Bisanti returns to conduct this moving work by the great Italian master of vocal magic. Price $38 to $78. Santa Clara – The Roberta Jones Youth Theatre presents “The Music Man” from March 15 through March 24, 2013 at the Mission City Center for the Performing Arts located at 3250 Monroe Street in Santa Clara. Tickets: $8 to $5 – this fantastic play is one you won’t want to miss. The Roberta Jones Youth Group will have two other Disney productions later in the season: Winnie the Pooh (June); and The Little Mermaid (July). However, in March, the “The Music Man” (based on the book, music and lyrics by Meredith Willson and Franklin Lacey) will be on center stage with their fantastic crew (and they are extremely talented, trust me) – with this play about an affectionate tribute to Smalltown, U.S.A. of a bygone era, Meredith Willson's "The Music Man" follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band he vows to organize – this despite the fact he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain's fall.

San Jose – At the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts March 22 through March 24, Ballet San Jose presents: Program 2 Spring Repertory; times Vary. This mixed repertory program features the Company Premiere of Les Rendezvous, one of Sir Frederick Ashton’s signature works. Set to music from the opera L’Enfant prodigue by Daniel Francois Espirit Auber, this suite of light-hearted dances for young people in a park was the first major ballet created by Ashton for the Vic-Wells Company in London. San Jose – The San Jose Civic Center announces the Starpower Talent Competition from March 22 through March 24 at the San Jose Civic. “Starpower” is entering its 26th year in the in the world of dance competitions. Starpower is constantly adding new awards, scholarships, and performance opportunities for every dancer. Answer to last week’s Mystery Photo: The answer to last week’s Mystery Photo: Last week’s Mystery Photo was an inside case of shamrock and St. Patrick’s Day celebration decorations at a location inside the same city as the Cherub fountain; in this case it is Santa Clara, at the family restaurant of Holder’s Country Inn. It is a great family restaurant with great food. Lots of seniors go there as well as the locals; a place known for a few specialties, such as their cinnamon rolls and cakes; and homemade meals such as soups; and well just about everything. This week’s Mystery Photo is: Where is this "in the water" device? Is it floating? Attached? What and where is it? (Is should be an easy, dead giveaway; but we'll let you guess anyway.
