If you’ve ever been to P’cheen’s special Monday night Bone Lick BBQ you know what a treat it is. Despite the fact that they served BBQ just one day a week, P’cheen was voted "Best BBQ inside the city limits" by Atlanta Magazine. My personal favorite was the always changing International BBQ special with sides of mac & cheese and pork braised collards. Very soon you won’t have to wait until Monday nights to taste P’cheen’s BBQ. The team of Mike LaSage, Alex Friedman and Keiran Neely, will be opening Bone Lick BBQ this summer on Huff Road in West Midtown.
BBQ is a labor of love for Chef Mike LaSage, who will man the kitchen. “We are working to create a very fun space, with some mid-century throwbacks in the decor. Vintage GE fridges, vintage Skee Ball machine--the tickets from which can be redeemed for anything from Bone Lick t-shirts, rubs, sauces, hats, etc., as well as, for the regulars who save their tickets, Back Yard Pig Pickins' and much more,” says LaSage. “We are also trying to be as green as possible with our decor, using lots of repurposed wood, building tables and bar tops from recycled pallets.”
Mike is originally from Florida and New Orleans. He started working at P'cheen sous chef shortly after moving to Atlanta.
