Ozzy Osbourne: he is who he is

Ozzy Osbourne truly shows his true self in his autobiography, I am Ozzy.

I had started to read legendary rocker, Ozzy Osbourne's autobiography, I am Ozzy, three times before this time. It is not bad or anything. I just could not get into it and would then get distracted by another book or museum. I am glad I chose this time. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

In fact, Ozzy Osbourne's autobiography is one of the best autobiographies I have ever read. No, I am not joking around. No, I was not smoking dope or getting drunk last night. Seriously, it is. Mr Osbourne is very honest and forthcoming in his autobiography as well as very raw, edgy, and at times, just plain hilarious. His book is on one hand a cautionary tale on why you should not use drugs and alcohol. He describes how he has hurt himself and especially his family with his drug use. On the other hand, though, you are laughing out loud with many of the experiences he had especially when he and Black Sabbath were just getting started. The story in Denmark is really funny; read it and see.

What are some of the other stories? Well, the following book is rated R and sometimes, bordering on NC-17 as well. This is one of those books that is not for little ones. It would a good read if the kids are not around and you are either alone or hanging out with some friends. Just make sure you do not accidentally mistake the central air conditioner controls for the police alarm. Read it and find out.

Most importantly, no matter what has happened in his life, Ozzy Osbourne is who he is. He does not hide behind some facade; and he does not try to convince you that he is someone else. He lets you into his life full throttle. By the way, he honestly does love and respect animals although he has had some biting experiences with them....Sheesh is all I am going to say about one.

All right, he has definitely gotten out of hand in more ways than one. Then again, you can never say that the guy lies all that much either. As Mrs. Sharon Osbourne states in one very serious part of the book, Ozzy Osbourne is a "kind and gentle person" deep down. She never wants to see the mean and nasty side of him again.

Pick up I am Ozzy to learn about many serious as well as many entertaining experiences of one of Rock 'N' Roll's most talented icons.
