Disney's Oz is a trending topic on Jan. 1, 2013 on Twitter with many tweeting away the first day of the year and highly anticipating the March theater release of "Oz: The Great and Powerful."
Among the Disney Oz tweets today many fans are talking up the upcoming Disney film release which is describe as the of the tale of a circus magician by the name of Oscar Diggs who is swiped away from Kansas to the colorful, and exciting Land of Oz. Diggs is played by actor James Franco.
During the film Diggs believes he has hit the jackpot of fame and fortune in Oz until he meets three witches Thedora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Racheal Weisz), and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced that he is the great wizard everyone's been expecting him to be.
Soon epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants are thrown into turmoil and Diggs must determine who is good and who is evil before it is too late for all involved, by putting his magical powers to use through illusion, ingenuity, and wizardry, as Diggs transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz, but also into a better man.
"Oz: The Great and Powerful" is an upcoming March 8, 2013 theater release of the American fantasy adventure film directed by Sam Raimi. The film is adapted from L. Frank Baum's 1900 novel "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz," and is set before the novel and the 1939 film "The Wizard of Oz."
The film will be released by Walt Disney Pictures in traditional 2D, as well as in the Disney Digital 3D, RealD 3D and IMAX 3D formats. Are you looking forward to the Disney's version of Oz entitled "Oz: The Great and Powerful?"
