Easy Oyster Sauce

My home is Louisiana. We are famous for our spectacular seafood dishes and sauces. Not every culture is familiar with oyster sauce. This sauce is a very aromatic sauce that is able to retain it's aroma and flavor during long cooking times. Oyster sauce serves well with Chinese, Asian and Thai foods. Oyster sauce will serve well over meat, rice or vegetables. It really adds flavor and zest to these dishes quite well. This is a very simple and easy to prepare recipe that I hope you will enjoy preparing and serving to your family, friends and guests as much as I do. This sauce will keep well in a glass jar with a lid for up to thirty days.

This sauce is excellent for serving with fish and also stir-fry meals. It is really inexpensive to make and will fit most any budget. It takes less time to make than most sauces. It is much better homemade because it does not contain all the preservatives as the store bought sauces. It is mostly used on dishes the same as you would use soy sauce. Tip-Oyster juice may be found in the Asian food department of the grocery store. This recipe includes two types of oyster sauce. The first recipe is very simple and less time consuming.
