Oxford Art Alliance opens Artisan Gift Shop Friday

The Oxford Art Alliance hosts yet another spectacular holiday gift shop featuring the works of various artists living in Southern Chester and Lancaster counties. Gift items range from the practical to the merely decorative and can be had in a variety of price ranges making items affordable for most any budget.

Dona Antonelli is a Lancaster County graphic artist and jewelry designer who creates handmade bracelets, necklaces and earrings from recycled aluminum cans, bottle tops and other items like bobby pins. Her work is bright and colorful and will get the conversation started when you are wearing it.

Ki Crittenden is a skilled ceramic artist who creates exquisite stoneware vessels. Ki learned pottery in her native Korea and in Seagrove, NC. She creates large organic shapes and gives them life with intricate carving of designs either abstract or from nature. Many of the vessels are lamps which when light shines through them project the beautiful patterns onto the wall behind it. In the daylight, the subtle hues of colored glaze are just beautiful to look at.

Midge Diener is a watercolorist who trained at the Darlington Arts Center in Garnet Valley, Pa. and the Community Arts Center in Wallingford, Pa. She loves to paint birds, landscapes, beach scenes and flowers. She offers original works as well as giclee’ prints and notecards.

There are many other artists displaying their works for sale at the Artisan Gift Shop. The artistic creations you will find here are one of a kind hand made gifts that will be treasured for years to come.

Along with the Artisan Gift Shop, the town of Oxford is hosting it’s Country Christmas on this First Friday from 5-9 P.M. There will be many activities including carriage and jingle hayrides, a tree lighting ceremony, a scavenger hunt and Santa to name a few. It’s the perfect First Friday to get out and visit the Oxford Art Alliance Artisan Gift Shop, then stroll the town and do all the other fun stuff. Don’t forget to ask Santa for something cool that you saw in the gallery!

The OXAA Gift Shop is opens Friday, December 6, 2013, with a preview sale from 5-8 P.M.

December 6 through 21
10 am - 6 p.m.
Extended hours Fridays until 8 p.m.

The OXAA is located at 38 S. Third Street Oxford, Pa.
