Owners of WBZR-AM and WBZR-FM agree to sell radio stations

On Monday, January 7th, the Gulf Coast Broadcasting Company of Orange Beach, Alabama made a deal with 21st Century Broadcasting Incorporated of Houston, Texas to sell WBZR-AM (1000), a silent radio station licensed to Robertsdale, Alabama (east of Mobile), and WBZR-FM (105.9), an active radio station licensed to Atmore, Alabama (northeast of Mobile), to them for $50,000 and $275,000 respectively. On Tuesday, January 29th, the Federal Communications Commission accepted an application filed on behalf of the Gulf Coast Broadcasting Company requesting permission to assign their broadcast licenses for WBZR-AM and WBZR-FM to 21st Century Broadcasting Incorporated in order to close the deal to sell the stations (the application was filed on the previous Monday, according to the official Facebook page for WBZR-FM).
